Directed by Atul Sabharwal About On the way from Atul Sabharwal to Berlin, translator Pushkin Verma (Aparshakti Khurana) and intelligence officer Jagdish Sandy (Rahul Bose) argue about the nature of ‘truth’. While questioning the deaf-mute Ashok Kumar (Ishwak Singh) about the crime, Pushkin seems to use invisible symbols to guide him. Later, when attacked by Jagdish, Pushkin responds firmly on the principle of truth, prompting Jagdish to come up with his own definition. “Truth is only something that is written, published, approved by the leaders and eventually hidden,” he urged.Pushkin is the evolution of this regime. The documentary is built on two conflicting ideas, leading to a relationship about the inner workings of intelligence agencies, their efforts to create the truth, and how this process can be transformed into law. All of this is achieved through the tension of a spy-like narrative that unfolds more like a good novel than a compulsive film.
